Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Exponentially growing P. subcapitata was exposed to the test material at nominal concentrations of 0, 20, 40, 90, 210, 450 and 1000 µg/L in a static 72 -hour toxicity test. The biomass in the control culture increased exponentially by a factor greater than 16 within the 72-hour test period. The test design included an untreated control comprising untreated algal growth medium only, and an uninoculated blank containing only dilution water. However the test item concentration was not maintained within the designated limit of 80% from the start concentration

The 72 -hour ErC50 (growth rate) and EbC50 (integrated biomass) endpoints determined by probit analysis for P. subcapitata exposed to the test material under static conditions were were 0.037 and 0.016 mg/L respectively. The corresponding 72 -hour NOECs based on inhibition of specific growth rate and integrated biomass were both 0.011 mg/L respectively.
