Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Half life value of 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile in water was estimated to be 15 days (360 hrs) while in sediment it is 140 days (3360 hrs) .Based on these half life values it is concluded that 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile is readily biodegradable(not persistent) in water where as it is non biodegradable(Persistent) in sediment.
Executive summary:

By using level III fugacity model, half life value of 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile in water was estimated to be 15 days (360 hrs) while in sediment it is 140 days (3360 hrs) .Based on these half life values it is concluded that 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile is readily biodegradable(not persistent) in water where as it is non biodegradable(Persistent) in sediment.
