Reference substance:
amyl cinnamic aldehyde
Name:
Amyl cinnamic aldehyde
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
Amyl cinnamic aldehyde
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance is not classified as a PBT/vPvB based on the following information:

Persistence

The substance was found to be 90% biodegraded in a 28-day OECD 301F ready biodegradability test. As such, the substance is considered to be readily biodegradable and is not considered to be persistent in the environment.

Bioaccumulation

The BCF of the substance was estimated using BCFBAF v3.01 and a measured log Kow of 4.7. The BCF of the substance was estimated to be 586 L/kg. This is believed to be a conservative estimate as the substance will rapidly degrade in the environment. As such, the substance should not be considered bioaccumulative.

Toxicity

The substance is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic for reproduction. The substance does not meet any of the other criteria for classification as toxic under REACH Annex XIII.
