Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Phototransformation in air

No experimental data are available. Under REACH, it is not mandatory to provide this information, however, the phototransformation in air was determined by using the computer program AOPWIN v1.92 (EPIWIN software) by US-EPA (Chemservice S.A., 2011). The program estimates the gas-phase reaction rate for the reaction between the most prevalent atmospheric oxidant (hydroxyl radicals) and the chemical. For PPS an overall gas-phase reaction constant (also called OH rate constant) of 4.2 E-12 cm³/molecules/sec (= 3.8 E-7 cm³/molecules-day) and an atmospheric half-life of 2.5 days (around 30.41 hours) was calculated. Considering the structure of the chemical, neither an ozone reaction nor any nitrate radical reaction may occur. This modelling is a scientifically accepted calculation method and is therefore reliable with restrictions (Klimisch 2).

Hydrolysis

No data about hydrolysis of the test substance are available, but the test is not required for a registration under REACH, since the substance was found to be biodegradable (Kuhlmann, 1990). In accordance with REACH Annex VIII, section 9.2.2.1., column 2 this endpoint can be waived.

Phototransformation in water and in soil

This information is not available and / or not required under REACH.
