Description of key information

The endpoint is waived for  the pure 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxide, which decomposes before the flashpoint is reached. 
The flashpoint of the commercial product 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxide with 2.4 -2 % diisobutylene is 37-51°C.

The flash point is strongly influenced by the presence of diisobutylene (DIB) with fp -7°C in the commercial substance.

The flashpoint decreases when the Diisobutylene concentration increases.

Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) of the substance is 60°C (reference SADT: CLP regulations 2.15.2.3 and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 5th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3.)
