Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The estimated Koc of the monoester constituent and the dimeric acid-constituent of 400160 are higher than 1000. Therefore the adsorption of this substance is very likely.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study was technically not possible as no suitable analytical method could be established for this surface active UVCB substance. No signals could be observed using the established HPLC analytic. The high costs to implement a sophisticated method (enrichment using MS/MS) are not justified as adsorption is expected to be very high based on the calculated log Kow of >10.

The calculated Koc of the monoester constituent of 400160 is 1.5e+009 L/kg based on the first-order Molecular Connectivity Index (MCI) or 1.878e+010 L/kg based on the estimated log Kow of 17.41 (KOCWIN version 2.00 estimate). Also the estimated Koc of the dimeric acid-constituent of 400160 is higher than 1000. Therefore adsorption of this substance is very likely.
