In the main tests, where the samples were heated up to 400 °C, bubbling started at around 160.5-164.9 °C (mean value 163 °C, coefficient of variation 2.0, 95% confidence interval 2.1, n=6). Due to the UVCB nature of the test material, bubbling was not continuously but occurred at intervals during the heating periods. The boiling point of the test material is given as the mean temperature above which the test material started showing boiling behaviour.

The test material was observed to darken from approximately 227-266 °C, indicating decomposition.
