Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not techically possible since the substance decomposes without melting from approximately 96 degC

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No determination of boiling temperature was possible by the methods presented in Method A2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995, based on the observed behavior of the test item on heating. Despite incomplete melting, significant volatilization of a test item fraction or its decomposition products was however evident in the form of foaming of the test item from a temperature of approximately 96 °C (369 K) at 101.0 kPa. However any volatilization was only partial and conclusive decomposition was also evident at higher temperatures, when the sample was heated up to a temperature of 400 °C (673 K).
