Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The QSAR-calculation was performed according to REACH guidance on QSARs R.6 (Mai 2008) and indicate that the test item does not exhibit any relevant risk for explosivity. Furthermore, the molecular structure of the test item is void of any structural alerts or reactive groups that would necessitate expectation of explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The calculation have shown that the thest item does not contain any structural groups known to be correlated with a particular explosion hazard. In addition, the thermodynamic calculations presented above indicate that the heat of decomposition and the comparison to the heat of combustion does not necessitate explosivity to be expected. Finally, the oxygen balance is negative (<-200). In conclusion, structural aspects and estimated thermodynamic properties indicate that the test item must not be considered to have explosive properties.

The test item should not be classified and labeled as explosive according to regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item does not require classification for explosiveness. This test item is void of any chemical structures commonly associated with explosive properties (cf. Annex VII section 7.11 Column 2 of regulation 1907/2006).
