Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Absolute density also determined by oscillating densitometry using an Anton Paar DSA5000M calibrated with ethyl acetate. Trials were performed in duplicate. Density at 20 °C was 1.8004 g/cm3 in each trial. Dynamic viscosity of 8.46 Pa.s slightly exceeds maximum applicability limit of 5 Pa.s in method guidelines, but is in agreement with the relative density determined by pycnometry. Density at 40 °C was 1.7593 g/cm3 by the oscillating densitometric method.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The relative density of TFEE-5 at 20 °C (D 20,4) is 1.80
Executive summary:

The relative density of TFEE-5 was measured by pycnometry and oscillating densitometry at 20 °C according to OECD109 and EC No. 440/2008, A.4. The relative density of TFEE-5 at 20 °C (D 20,4) is 1.80 by both methods.

The study was performed according to internationally accepted test guidelines but was not done under GLP or other QA criteria. This study is classified as reliable with restrictions.
