Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: If the product is accidentally inhaled as spray, ensure access to fresh air.  If signs of adverse effects, seek medical advice, showing copy of safety data sheet if possible.  

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing.  Rinse skin with water. Seek medical advice if signs of irritation or discomfort are noted and show copy of safety data sheet if possible. Wash clothing before re-use.

Accidental eye contact: Flush eyes immediately with plenty of water.  Seek medical advice immediately and show copy of safety data sheet if possible.

Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth with small quantity (200 ml) of water or milk.  If sings of adverse effects, seek medical advice  and show copy of safety data sheet if possible. Vomiting should be induced only under medical supervision.

Fire-fighting measures

Not considered flammable, but may support combustion

In case of fire, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water foam or water fog may be used.  The material is not known to be reactive with any of these extinguishing media

Accidental release measures

Ensure good ventilation and use chemical resistant gloves suitable for amines and mercaptans and eye protection.  

Absorb onto suitable material (no types of absorbant material are considered incompatable and rinse area with water.  For larger spills (> 5 litres) colleact rinse water and dispose of as chemical waste.

Avoid release of substance or washings to the environment.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls

Not normally required. Good ventilation should be provided where this is product to be used.

Respiratory protection

Not considered necessary during normal use.  If handling large quantities in enclosed areas, or if cleaning equipment or contaminated areas, positive pressure breathing apparatus should be considered.

Hand Protection

Exposure should be avoided and suitable rubber gloves may be used.  Use gloves made from materials recommended for handling amines and mercaptans. Consider double gloving.

Eye protection

Goggles or face protection are required when handling the product.

Skin protection

Protective coveralls recommended, which should be changed regularly.

Environmental exposure controls

Precautions should be taken to avoid accidental release to water courses.

Stability and reactivity

Not considered unstable

Disposal considerations

It is recommended to dispose of in consideration with local site factors and in accordance with local regulations.  

The containers should be disposed of accordance with local policy as hazardous waste.

Treat as for water soluble materials very toxic to the environment.
