Principles of method if other than guideline:
The density of the test item is determined using a automated gas pycnometer ( AccuPyc ). A weighted sample amount is placed into a cylinder of exact calibrated volume. Any remaining air is replaced by Helium as inert gas. The volume of the test item is determined based on the pressure drop upon isothermal decompression of the gas volume.
