First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. Seek medical
attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water while holding eyelids open for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Flush area with large amounts
of water. Use soap. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash
out mouth with water. Don not induce vomitting unless
directed by medical personnel. Seek medical attention
immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Extinguish fires with CO2, extinguishing powder, foam or
water.

Product arising from burning: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or fire.
May include oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Protective equipment: During all fire fighting activities wear full protective
clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personnel involved in clean-up must wear appropriate
personal protective equipment conforming to the relevant
national or international standards to minimize exposure.



Contain the source of spill if it is safe to do so. Collect
spilled material by a method that controls dust generation.
A damp cloth of a filtered vacuum should be used to clean up
spills of dry solids. Clean spill area throughly.


Place waste in an appropriately labelled, sealed container

for disposal. Care should be taken to avoid environmental
spills. Avoid discharge to surface water and drains.



Non-essential personnel should be evacuated from the
affected area. Report emergency situations immediately.



Clean-up operations must be undertaken by trained personnel
only.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ground and bond all bulk transfer equipment. Avoid open
handling. Minimize dust generation. Use local exhaust
ventilation or perform work under hood/fume cupboard.

Avoid Inhalation and contact with skin, eyes and clothing.


When handling, use appropriate personal protective equipment

Storage: Store at room temperature in properly labelled containers.

Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically of technically feasible, and such waste
material will be disposed of by incineration. In principle,
it may be possible to recover larger spillages of
uncontaminated material for subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The notification tests have shown that the substance is not
provisionally classified at the VIIB level of notification.


The substance is a solid and thus there is a possibility of
dust hazard. However, this will be minimised by appropriate
handling and storage.
