Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Two DSC-runs in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermic effect (melting) in the temperature range 50 - 70 °C with an onset temperature of 51 °C. The onset temperature is derived from the intersection of the tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermic peak with the baseline.

The test item has a mean melting point of 51.4 °C.

Conclusions:
The test item has a mean melting point of 51.4 °C.
Executive summary:

The melting point of the test item was tested according to EU Method A.1 and OECD Guideline 102 in a non-GLP study. No exothermic effect was observed and the sample has a melting point of 51.4 °C (mean of two determinations).

Description of key information

The melting point of the test item was tested according to EU Method A.1 and OECD Guideline 102 in a non-GLP study. No exothermic effect was observed and the sample has a melting point of 51.4 °C (mean of two determinations).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
51.4 °C

Additional information

No atm. pressure is mentioned in the report, but 1013 hPa as standard conditions can be assumed.
