Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air and seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate well with plenty of clean water for 10 - 15
minutes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse affected area with water, then wash with soap and
water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, mist, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide may be used
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).
Any spills should by recovered using a vacuum or similar
dust collector and transferred to an appropriate labelled
container which is disposed of at a licensed facility.
Ventilate area and wash spill site, however, do not allow
water to enter sewers or waterways.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use only in well ventilated areas. Do not breathe dust and
avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear safety goggles,
simple filter mask, gloves and protective clothing
Gloves should be made of polyethylene and the protective
clothing worn in the clean rooms is electrically treated.
Storage: Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well
ventilated place away from strong oxidising agents and
direct sunlight at temperatures not exceeding 40 deg C.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is packaged in a polyethylene bag, within a
high density polyethylene can of 20 litre volume.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Uncontaminated material may be recovered from solvent and
reused. (A616)
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility. Waste gas
treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen should be fitted.
(A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. In view of the low water solubility,
recovery by filtration followed by incineration is possible.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from drums in photocopiers is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Drums will be sent for aluminium recycling where any
substance on the surface will be incinerated.
