Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention
immediately.

glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting.

contain oxides of carbon and nitrogen and water.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus
should be worn.

respirator should be worn.
Storage: Store at temperature of less than 30 deg C away from strong
oxidising agents, in polyethylene-lined fibre drums.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The antibiotic activity is destroyed at pH less than 1 and
greater than 12.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. The substance can be disposed of at a
suitable facility. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen
oxides should be fitted.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Aqueous waste containing trace amounts of
erythromycylamine, will be sent to the "on-site"
biotreatment facility.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
