First-aid measures

NOTES TO THE PHYSICIAN

For detailed information on the ingredients see SDS. Symptomatic treatment is advised.

INHALATION

Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Rinse nose and mouth with water. Get medical attention.

INGESTION

Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly. Drink plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately.

SKIN CONTACT

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water for several minutes. Get medical attention. Wash

contaminated clothing before reuse.

EYE CONTACT

Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids.

Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES

Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.

SPECIFIC HAZARDS

Thermal decomposition or combustion may liberate carbon oxides and other toxic gases or vapours.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS

Products of complete combustion are carbon dioxide, water and phosphorus oxides. Additionally, products of incomplete combustion may

include carbon monoxide, elemental carbon, phosphine, oxides of phosphorus.

Accidental release measures

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS

Do not discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.

SPILL CLEAN UP METHODS

Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Collect spillage in containers, seal securely and deliver for disposal

according to local regulations.

Handling and storage

USAGE PRECAUTIONS

Avoid inhalation of vapours and contact with skin and eyes. Use this product in a well ventilated area, particularly as good ventilation is

essential when PVC processing temperatures are maintained, and fumes from the PVC formulation require regulating.

STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

Store in tightly closed original container in a dry and cool place. Avoid: Water, moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection

No regulatory or governmental exposure limits have been established for trisisotridecyl phosphite

If phenol is present as an impurity The following exposure limit(s) apply for:

Phenol: 8 hours WEL = 2 ppm (UK/EH40) - Can be absorbed through skin.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

ENGINEERING MEASURES

Provide adequate ventilation. Observe Occupational Exposure Limits and minimise the risk of inhalation of vapours.

RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT

In case of inadequate ventilation or when the product is heated, use suitable respiratory equipment with gas filter (type A2).

HAND PROTECTION

Wear protective gloves. PVC gloves are recommended. (CEN EN420 - PVC) Be aware that the liquid may penetrate the gloves. Frequent

change is advisable.

EYE PROTECTION

Wear goggles/face shield. (CEN EN166)

OTHER PROTECTION

Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact. (CEN EN340) Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

HYGIENE MEASURES

Observe good chemical hygiene practices. Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet. Wash

promptly if skin becomes wet or contaminated. Promptly remove any clothing that becomes wet or contaminated. When using do not eat,

drink or smoke.

Stability and reactivity

STABILITY

Stable under normal temperature conditions.

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

Avoid excessive heat for prolonged periods of time.

MATERIALS TO AVOID

Avoid contact with oxidising agents. Water effects hydrolysis of product.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS

Products of complete combustion are carbon dioxide, water and phosphorus oxides. Additionally, products of incomplete combustion may

include carbon monoxide, elemental carbon, phosphine, oxides of phosphorus.
