Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Endpoint:
- water solubility
- Type of information:
- experimental study
- Adequacy of study:
- key study
- Reliability:
- 1 (reliable without restriction)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- guideline study
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
- Deviations:
- not specified
- GLP compliance:
- no
- Type of method:
- flask method
- Key result
- Water solubility:
- < 353 mg/L
- Conc. based on:
- other: the total water solubility of the four components measured
- Incubation duration:
- ca. 5 d
- Temp.:
- 25 °C
- pH:
- ca. 2.25
- Conclusions:
- For bis (2-ethyl hexyl) phosphate, 2-ethylhexyl phosphate and dodecylamine results from
tests 4 and 5 indicate that there is no increasing solubility over time; therefore, the mean
results from tests 1, 2 and 3 are reported. Mean results from all 5 days are also calculated
for information.
As a result, the total water solubility of the four components measured (greater than 10% by
LC-MS area%) is < 353 mg/l. The total water solubility value does not include assessment
of solubility of minor components.
For 2-ethylhexyl phosphate, triplicate results are <15% from day 1, 2 and 3, therefore
satisfactory.
Variation for dodecylamine for day 1, 2 and 3 is outside 15% but this is considered to be
insignificant at this Iew Ievei and results for day 4 and 5 show consistency.
An additional component was detected in the octanol layer from the partition coefficient
analysis. This was assigned as 2-ethylhexyl hexyl phosphate but was not detected (<5
mg/L) in the water solubility test.
The data contained in this report has been generated in a Iabaratory holding a current
statement of GLP Compliance, issued by the UK GLP Monitaring Authority, MHRA, but not
as part of a formal GLP study. - Executive summary:
