Description of key information

 The EC50 was predicted to be 146.40473938 mg/L for 3-[(4-amino-6 -bromo- 5,8-dihydro-1- hydroxy-8-imino-5-oxo-2-naphtyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethylanilinium chloride in Dapnia magna by QSAR Toolbox version 3.3 .

Overall reported acute toxicity studies of chemical substance and applying weight of evidence , indicate that the substance is not likely to exhibit aquatic toxicity can be classified as 'non-hazardous' as per the CLP classification criteria. 

A 48 hour acute toxicity study was conducted where Daphnia magna were exposed to 3-[(4-amino- 6-bromo-5,8-dihydro-1 -hydroxy-8-imino -5-oxo -2-naphtyl) amino]-N, N, N-trimethylanilinium chloride. The EC50 was predicted to be 146.40473938 mg/L for 3-[(4-amino-6 -bromo- 5,8-dihydro-1- hydroxy-8-imino-5-oxo-2-naphtyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethylanilinium chloride in Dapnia magna by QSAR Toolbox version 3.3 .

Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.10, the 48 hours EC50 was estimated to be 62558.434 mg/L on Daphnia Magna for substance 3-[(4-amino-6-bromo-5,8-dihydro-1-hydroxy-8-imino-5-oxo-2-naphtyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethylanilinium chloride (CAS no. 68123 -18 -7) with immobilization effects.

On the basis of available information for the target and applying weight of evidence approach, the test substance 3-[(4-amino-6 -bromo- 5,8-dihydro-1- hydroxy-8-imino-5-oxo-2-naphtyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethylanilinium chloride cannot be considered as acute oral toxicant, in accordance with the CLP criteria. Based on the above mentioned values for the chemical, it is considered that 3-[(4-amino-6 -bromo- 5,8-dihydro-1- hydroxy-8-imino-5-oxo-2-naphtyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethylanilinium chloride is not hazardous to the aquatic organisms at environmentally relevant concentrations and can be classified in “ not classified “as per the CLP classification.
