Study Results

The concentrations of the different test solutions were calculated automatically using the equation of the calibration curve and considering the dilution factors of the test solutions. The results are listed in the following table :

 Incubation time (hours) Average of two measurements (g/L)
 24  179.4
 48  178.7
 72  176.5

Average : 178 g/L *

* : Standard deviation 1.51 g/L, relative standard deviation 0.85%

Annotation : pH value of the sample solution was 1.9 (1.9, 1.9) after 24 (48, 72 ) hours of incubation. It was observed that the sample incubation solutions turned purple in the course of the study. The colour intensity increased with incubation time. As no significant difference in the concentrations could be determined and no degradation products could be detected, the results were judged to be valid.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The solubility of the test item N,N-Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine sulphate monohydrate in water at 20 deg C was determined to be 178 g/L at pH 1.9.
