Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity to Daphnia magna of the substance under registration was investigated under static exposure conditions over a period of 48 h. No chemical analysis of the test media was conducted. For the evaluation of the test the nominal content of the test solution was used, assuming the test compound to be stable in water over 48 h. No significant effects (< 10 % of a total of 40 individuals) were observed at 10 and 1 mg/l and in the blank control, respectively. Immobilization at 48 h was slightly increased as compared to the effects after 24 h. Based on these immobilization data the nominal median effect concentration (EC50) of the test item to Daphnia magna for 24 and 48 h can be estimated to be >100 mg/l, respectively. The experimentally determined no-effect concentration (NOEC, EC0) was 100 and 10 mg/l after an exposure of 24 and 48 h, respectively (Häner A., 1999).

As supporting results, data from the similar substances 3a-A(Na) and 3a-A(NaK); their water solubilities are 48.2 and 13.45 , respectively, which are lower than the substance under registration. For all tested substances a value of EC50 greater than 100 mg/l. Justification for Read Across is given in section 13 of IUCLID.
