First-aid measures

General Information:
Remove contaminated clothing. Treat symptomatically.
Skin Contamination:
Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. Wash immediately and thoroughly for a prolonged period (at least 15 minutes). In case of inflammation (redness, irritation) obtain medical attention.
Eye Contamination:
Rinse immediately with plenty of running water for a prolonged period (at least 15 minutes) whilst keeping the eyes wide open. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.
Ingestion:
Do not attempt to induce vomiting. Rinse mouth out with water. Seek medical advice.
Inhalation:
Move the person away from the contaminated area. Make the affected person rest. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media; Fine water spray. Contain spillage.
Emergency PPE/RPE: Wear self – contained breathing apparatus and fire kit.

Accidental release measures

Adhere to personal protective measures.
Do not discharge to drains or water courses.
Take up mechanically (e.g. sweep up), into tightly closable containers.
Label container and dispose of as hazardous waste.

Handling and storage

Precautions for Safe Handling:
Eliminate possible ignition sources (e.g., heat, sparks, flame, impact, friction, electricity), and follow appropriate grounding and bonding procedures. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing dust. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Use with adequate ventilation. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Wash thoroughly after handling. Prevent environmental releases. When handling, use appropriate personal protective equipment. Review and implement appropriate technical and procedural waste water and waste disposal measures to prevent occupational exposure or environmental releases. Potential points of process emissions of this material to the atmosphere should be controlled with dust collectors, HEPA filtration systems or other equivalent controls.

Stable under normal temperature conditions.
Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool dark place.
Keep well ventilated.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls:
Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls as the primary means to minimise worker exposure.
Personal protection: Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin, eye and clothing.
Eye/face protection: Use approved safety goggles or glasses. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).
Hand protection: Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product.
Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Other skin and body protection: Protective overalls.

Stability and reactivity

Stable at normal ambient temperatures.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid heat, flames and other sources of ignition. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Materials to avoid: Strong acids. Strong bases. Strong oxidising agents.

Disposal considerations

General information: Waste is classified as hazardous waste. Disposal to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with national and local authority regulations.
Disposal methods: Incineration using appropriate licensed facilities.
