Additional information

There exists one specific study on neurotoxicity. In this study no standard procedures were used, the selectivity and specificity of methods were not proven, and animal number and number of experiments unclear (Animal number in dosage groups was 10, animal number in result tables is 5). Therefore this study is classified as "Klimisch code reliability 3 (not reliable)".

In the fully reliable 14 -week and 2 -year inhalation toxicity studies of NTP (2000) with rats and mice the animals were observed, clinical findings were recorded and histopathology of the brain was performed.

All these investigations revealed no signs of neurotoxicity.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No signs of neurotoxicity were seen in the fully reliable 14 -week and 2-year inhalation toxicity studies on rats and mice (NTP, 2000).
