Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eye contact - rinse immediately with tap water for 10 minutes - open eyelids forcibly
Skin contact - remove immediately contaminated clothes, wash affected skin with water and soap - do not use any solvents
Inhalation - remove the casualty to fresh air and keep him/her calm
Note to physician - treat symptomatically

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media - water spray jet, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide
Specific hazards - formation of toxic and corrosive combustion gases (nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides) possible - severe dust explosion hazard
Protection of fire-fighters - precipitate gases/vapours/mists with water spray - chemical incident emergency response unit with full protective
equipment

Accidental release measures

Environmental protection - do not allow to enter drains or waterways
Methods for cleaning up - collect solids (avoid dust formation) and hand over to waste removal

Handling and storage

Handling
Technical measures - processing in closed systems, if possible superposed by inert gas (e.g. nitrogen)
- local exhaust ventilation necessary
- take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging - avoid dust formation; high dust explosion hazard
Suitable materials - aluminium, enamel, glass, stainless steel

Storage
Storage conditions - dry, cool and ventilated place
Packaging materials - tightly closing; material: aluminium, stainless steel, plastic

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection - respiratory protection not necessary during normal operations
- in case of open handling of larger quantities or accidental release: particle mask or respirator with independent air supply
Hand protection - protective gloves
Eye protection - safety glasses

Stability and reactivity

Stability - stable under the conditions mentioned in chapter "handling and storage"
Conditions to avoid - humidity, light and air: gradual decomposition
- warming
Materials to avoid - strong oxidizing agents

Disposal considerations

Waste from residues
- observe local/national regulations regarding waste disposal
- incinerate in qualified installation with flue gas scrubbing
