Secondary poisoning can be excluded, since the bioaccumulation potential is low (see chapter 5.3). Therefore, toxicity tests to birds are not indicated and hence, are not proposed due to animal welfare.

In an older study following no guideline, six male quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) with an average weight of 110 g were exposed to air near-saturated with vapor of the test material for 7 hours at 25°C and observed for 14 days (American Cyanamid 1966). The terminal average weight was 117 g. No signs of intoxication or mortalities could be observed in the 14 day post-exposure period.
