Executive summary:

The test was performed as stipulated in EC Test Procedure A.1 'Melting/Freezing Temperature' – ASTM E 537 ‘Standard method for assessing the thermal stability of chemicals by methods of differential thermal analysis’. The Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was used. This technique records the difference of the temperature of a substance and a crucible with an inert sample. The substance and reference crucible were subjected to the same controlled temperature program. The sample was heated in a sealed glass ampoule at a linear rate of 1 K/min. The measurement was recorded electronically. A melting point of 217 °C was determined and no pressure was reported.
