Description of key information

Two studies were carried out: UN test N.1 and UN test N.4. The results of both tests indicate that the tested substance is not flammable.

Additional information

The flammability of Benzyltrimethylammonium chloride was determined according to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, sub-section 33.2.1.4, Test Method N.1.

For classification purpose the self-heating properties were determined by method UN N.4. (supporting study)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Two independent tests results indicate that Benzyltrimethylammonium chloride should not be classified as a flammable solid.
