The European Chemicals Agency had in the past issued a series of Guidance Factsheets. The Factsheets provided a structured overview of REACH guidance documents published by the Agency. They included a summary of the key aspects, bibliographic information and other references.

These documents were normally translated into the official EU languages. The available documents can be accessed from this webpage: use the language menu on the top right corner of the page.

 "Guidance in a Nutshell" documents (tab below) cover most of the information given in the Factsheets, in addition to giving other information summarising the guidance. New versions of these are always translated. Consequently ECHA has decided that from September 2013 when a new version of a "Guidance in a Nutshell" and its translations is published on our web-site old versions of the corresponding Guidance Factsheet will be removed as well as the old Guidance in a Nutshell documents. No new Guidance Factsheets will be drafted in order to make best use of technical and translation resources. This approach has, for example, been implemented for the Guidance Factsheet on Registration following publication of the new Guidance in a Nutshell document in the official languages in September 2013.
