Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion:
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and dring 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Inhalation
Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid. Do not use mouth-to-mouth respiration. If breathing has ceased apply artificial respiration using oxygen and a suitable mechanical device such as a bag and a mask.
Skin
Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothes.
Fire-fighting measures
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool. Vapours may be haevier than air. They can spread along the ground and collect in low or confined areas. Containers may explode when heated.
Extinguishing media: Do not get water inside containers. Cool containers with flooding quantities of water until well after fire is out. In case of fire use water spray, dry chemical, carbor dioxide, or appropriate foam.
Fire potential:
Highly flammable: Will be easily ignited by heat, sparks or flames.
Hazards:
Vapours form explosive mixtures with air: Indoors, outdoor, and sewers explosion hazard. Most vapours are haevier than air. They will spread along ground and collect in low or confined areas (sewers, basements, tanks). Vapours may travel to source of ignition and flash back. Substance will react with water (some violently) releasing flammable, toxic or corrosive gases and runoff.
Accidental release measures
Personal protection:
Evacuate area in case of large leakage. Prevent access to unauthorised person. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use personal protective equipment (acid-resisitant suit).
Environmental precautions:
Stop the leak if possible. Do not empty into drains. Do not allow to enter waters or soil.
Methods for cleaning up:
Cover up spill liquid with sand or earth, place in a closed container and transfer for disposal.
Other information:
Vapours or mists may collect in closed spaces such as sewers, caves or closed structures. Tighten or cover openings of these spaces.
Handling and storage
Handling
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not allow contact with water. Wash clothing before reuse. Keep from contact with moist air and steam.
Storage
Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Store protected from moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eyes:
Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as following European Standard EN 166.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective gloves and clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respiration:
A respiratory protection program that meets European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator´s use.
Stability and reactivity
Stability:
Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
Incompatibilities:
Strong bases, strong acids, strong oxidising agents.
Decomposition:
Carbon monooxide, oxides of nitrogen, irritating and toxic fumes and gases, carbon dioxide.
Disposal considerations
Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place into a chemical waste container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to waterways. Clean up spills immediately, using the appropriate protective equipment. Provide ventilation. Do not get water inside containers.
