Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information:
Remove any clothing soiled by the product.
Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse.
After inhalation:
If inhalation of the product is suspected, remove exposed person to fresh air and if the patient feels unwell, get prompt medical attention.
After skin contact:
Wash affected area with soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
After eye contact
In case of contact with eyes, irrigate with water for few minutes. Remove any contact lenses if easy to do. Get prompt medical attention.
After swallowing:
If swallowed, wash out mouth thoroughly and give water to drink. Seek prompt medical attention. Do not induce vomiting, unless instructed by medical personnel.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Repeated skin contact may result in sensitisation (allergy)
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
Sympotomatic treatment is advised following exposure to the substance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable Extinguishing media:
For small fires, dry chemical powder, foam, carbon dioxide and sand are recommended.
For large fires, foam extinguishing media are recommended.
Extinguishing media not to be used: Water may expand fire.
Advice for firefighters:
Fire fighters should wear breathing apparatus and fight fire from windward.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Prohibit entering the area around the leakage and keep away unrelated people.
Take shelter to windward.
When treating the leakage wear appropriate protective equipment (gloves, protective mask, apron, goggle etc.)
Prepare appropriate extinguishing equipment to be ready for the case of ignition and contact.
Quickly remove ignition source, prepare extinguishing media.
Environmental precautions:
Pay attention not to cause effect to the environment by releasing product to the rivers.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Advice on containment of spillage: Stop the source of leak or release. Clean up spill as soon as possible, using appropriate techniques such as sorbent materials or pumping. Collect spill and place in suitable container for disposal.
Advice on clean up of spillage: Wash contaminated surfaces with water and detergent, and collect washings for safe disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Recommendations for safe handling:
Avoid smoking, naked flame, heat and fire source.
Use protective equipment to prevent ignition and contact with skin or eye.
Install explosion proof equipment and handle in well-ventilated area.
Keep correct implementation of work.
Install equipment of wash face, eyes and hands at work place and rest space.
Working under related law.
General occupational hygiene
Do not eat, drink or smoke in work areas; wash hands after use and remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Precautions;
Handle in well-ventilated area.
Wash hands/face etc. thoroughly after handling.
Be careful not to spill and scatter, install exhaust equipment in case of generating vapour or mist.
Pay attention to regenerate of heat when this substance reacts with strong acid and fatty acid amine.
Big mixture batch scale may generate high temperature.
Do not use broken container and collect used container.
Accumulate used container at fixed place.
Storage;
Appropriate storage condition:
Store at equipment of designated combustibles.
Avoid direct sunlight, store at well ventilated place.
Safe container packaging material:
Stainless steel or coating zinc phosphate aluminium drum/can
Incompatible material:
Avoid to mixture with strong oxidizing agent, strong lewis acid, strong inorganic acid, strong inorganic base and organic base. (especially 1,2 aliphatic amine)
