The degree of degradability based on the BOD measurements was 0, 1, and 0% for bottles 3, 4, and 5.

Degradability was not calculated because the test substance was insoluble in water.
-Degradability based on the residual test substance concentration
The degree of degradability based on the residual test substance concentration was 0, 0, and 1 % for bottles 3, 4 and 5, respectively. - Results with reference substance:
- The degradability of aniline, based on the BOD measurements was 52.8 % after 7 days. The activity of the sludge was thus shown to be satisfactory.

Description of key information
A modified MITI test was conducted to assess the Ready Biodegradability of the test substance. From the degradability results based on the BOD and the residual test substance concentration, it is concluded that the test substance was not readily biodegradable and was not transformed under the conditions of the Modified MITI test.
