Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
GENERAL INFORMATION
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment).
INHALATION
When inhaled remove to fresh air and seek medical aid.
SKIN
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
EYE
In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
INGESTION
If swallowed do not induce vomiting, seek medical advice and show safety datasheet
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Product itself is non-combustible; Fire extinguishing method of surrounding areas must be
discussed.
EXPOSURE HAZARDS
In decomposition emits carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide.
PROTECTION OF FIRE-FIGHTERS
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Wear suitable personal protective equipment.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Contain contaminated water/firefighting water
Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
CLEAN-UP PROCEDURES
Take up with absorbent material (eg sand, kieselguhr, universal binder)
Handling and storage
HANDLING REQUIREMENTS
When used and handled appropriately no special measures are needed

Exposure controls / personal protection
The substance is not classified as dangerous according to the criteria of the Dangerous Substances Directive (67/548/EEC) and CLP (Regulation CE 1272/2007). Nevertheless, the exposure of workers during and after normal operations should be minimised by the use of good industrial hygiene practice, the general measures necessary for safety and health protection of workers (article 6 of Directive 89/391/EC) and the reduce-to-a-minimum principle (article 6 of Chemical Agents Directive 98/24/EC):
Respiratory protection : Breathing apparatus in the event of aerosol or mist formation.
Hand protection : Use impermeable, CE-approved gloves for the manipulation of chemical products.
Observe the information of the glove manufacturers on permeability and breakthrough times and other workplace requirements
Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield
Body protection : working clothes
Stability and reactivity
STABLE (Y/N): Yes
CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Heat (decompose)
MATERIALS TO AVOID: Mixing with strong acids will liberate carbon dioxide.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: carbon oxides may be liberated on heating
Disposal considerations
Substance
Dispose of in accordance with local authority regulations
Uncleaned packaging
Consider recycling.
