Specific details on test material used for the study:
Identification as reported on study report: cC6O4
Batch Number: 156/17
Purity > 98%
Expiry date: December 31, 2020
Storage conditions: At room temperature at about 20°C
Key result
Surface tension:
31.3 mN/m
Temp.:
19.7 °C
Conc.:
1 g/L
Conclusions:
The surface tension of cC6O4 ammonium salt in water (at a concentration of about 0.1%) was determined to be 31.3 mN/m at 19.7 °C ± 0.2 °C. Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC Guideline and the results of this study, cC6O4 ammonium salt has to be considered as a surface active substance.
Executive summary:

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the surface tension of an aqueous solution of cC6O4 ammonium salt by means of a ring tensiometer.

Description of key information

The determination of the surface tension of cC6O4 ammonium salt was performed according to the EEC Directive 92/69, A.5 “Surface Tension” and the OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions).
