Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures
If inhaled:
If mists or sprays are inhaled, remove casualty to fresh air and clean any blocked airways. In case of irritation of the respiratory system or mucous membranes, seek medical attention.
Seek medical attention if you feel unwell or if exposure prolonged.
On skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected skin with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation or dematitis commences or persists seek medical attention.
On contact with eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes taking care to wash under the eyelids. Seek medical attention.
On ingestion:
Do NOT induce vomiting. Check breathing and pulse. Place victim in the recovery position, cover and
keep warm. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. Seek medical attention. Rinse
mouth and then drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you
feel unwell, seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Will not burn. Use media appropriate for type of fire and combustibles in area.
Suitable extinguishing media:
water spray
Unsuitable extinguishing media for safety reasons:
water jet
Combustion products:
Carbon oxides.
Special protective equipment:
Chemical protection suit, suitable gloves, boots and self contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Use personal protective clothing.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent entry into sewage systems, ground and surface waters.
Methods for cleaning-up or taking-up:
Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acis binder, universal binder, sawdust). After cleaning flush away traces with water. Collect wash water for approved disposal.
Scoop into marked containers for disposal as chemical waste.
Handling and storage
Handling
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and launder before re-use.
Before breaks and end of work wash hands and/or face.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during work.
Storage requirements:
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well ventilated place.
Store away from food and animal feedstuffs.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Technical measures/precautions:
Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.
Respiratory protection:
Breathing protection when aerosol or mist is formed.
Hand protection:
Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374).
Eye protection:
Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (EN 166)
Wear face shield if splashing hazards exists.
Skin and body protection:
Lightweight protective clothing.
