- Justification for type of information:
- The substance is used under highly controlled conditions and is not expected to be released to the environment or sewage treatment facilities during normal use conditions. In an Algal Growth Inhibition Test, conducted as algae is considered to be one of the most sensitive species, exposure of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata to the substance for 72 hours resulted in an ErL50 of greater than 20 mg/L, ErC10 of 17 mg/L, NOEC of 10 mg/L, and a LOEL of 20 mg/L loading rate WAF, based on growth rate and nominal loading rates WAF.
The substance is not classified based upon these results. Therefore, to ensure no unnecessary testing is conducted, the toxicity to microorganisms study has been waived.
