Boiling Point:
Boiling point of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is determine to be greater than 120°C.
Density:
Density of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is determine in the range of 1.113 to 1.135 g/cm3.
Particle size distribution:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form. On the basis of physical observation and using the sense of smell, Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt was determine to be a liquid.
Vapour pressure:
The estimated vapour pressure of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt at 25 Deg C was 2.74E-06 Pa.
Partition coefficient:
Based on the available data from modeling database using the KOWWIN V1.68 program, the partition coefficient (log Pow) value of the substance Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt was estimated to be 14.88. On the basis of this estimated value, the substance Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt can be considered to be hydrophobic in nature.
Water solubility:
The estimated water solubility of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt at 25 deg C was 5.389E-12 mg/l.
Surface tension:
Based on the data from ACD labs, surface tension for Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt was predicted to be 0.040 N/m.
Flash point:
The flash point of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is greater than 160 °C.
Auto flammability:
Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties which include oxygen, but the calculated oxygen balance is less than - 200.
Oxidizing properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.
Stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products:
The study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical.
pH:
pH of 1% w/v aqueous solution of the test substance Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt (CAS No.68649-42-3) is 5.5-7.5.
Dissociation constant:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is insoluble.
Viscosity:
Kinematic viscosity of Dialkyl(C1-C14)dithiophosphoric acid, zinc salt is determine in the range of 9-15 mm2/s at temperature 100 Deg C.
