- Executive summary:
A study in accordance to OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range) using the capillary tube method revealed no melting point up to 400 °C. Colour changing was noted starting at 196°C indicating a possible decomposition. At 196°C, the colour of the test item changed from colourless from light-brown to dark-brown at 340°C. Above 340°C, no further colour change was observed.
Reference
During the measurement the colour changing of the test item was observed. The first changing was observed at 196 °C the test item was light-brown, at 340 °C – dark-brown. From 340 °C until 400 °C no more changes in colour were observed and at the end of measurement the test item was solid.
