Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

No test data for hydrolysis or photodegradation are currently available

Biodegradation

The reference substance BisP-IOTD was investigated for ready biodegradability in a closed bottle test according to OECD method 301D. The relative biodegradation values calculated from the O2 measurements performed during the test period of 28 days revealed no signficant biodegradation of BisP-IOTD at both concentrations tested (1 mg/l and 3 mg/l) and thus BisP-IOTD is designated as not readily biodegradable. No further studies on biodegradation are available and not required at the tonnage band of 1 - 10 T/a.

Bioaccumulation

The substance BisP-IOTD has a moderate to low potential for bioaccumulation as shown by the result of logPOW determination (log POW = 3.8). A study to assess bioconcentration is not available and not required at this tonnage band (1 - 10 T/a).

Transport and Distribution

No data on adsorption/desorption to organic matter is available at this tonnage band. However, applying the methodology of Sablijic and Güsten (1995) tailored to phenols, a KOC-value of 1762 can be estimated form the experimentally derived logPOW of 3.8. Thus, the substance is expected to adsorb to organic matter having limited mobility in soil.
