Concentration in the atmosphere:
An air sampling survey of 5 points throughout a US manufacturing plant showed BF3 concentration ranging from 0.27 to 0.69 ppm (0.75 to 1.9 mg/cu m) during 24 h period in May 1974 and from 0.1 to 1.8 ppm in another 24 h period in August 1974
