Details on test conditions:
TEST SYSTEM
- Test container: PVC plant pots with an upper internal diameter of 85 mm, covered by plastic Petri dishes until the beginning of emergence
- Amount of soil: Approx. 250 ml; the plant pots were Ioosely filled with culture substrate up to the upper edge.
- Method of seeding: dry seeds, not pregerminated; sowing depth approx 5 mm (oilseed rape and vetch) and 15 mm (oats)
- No. of plants retained after thinning: emergence of plants in test assays were determined and uniformiy distributed to 5 seedlings per plant pot. Seedlings emerging subsequently were recorded and removed from the pots.
- No. of seeds per container: 10
- No. of replicates per treatment group: 4
- No. of replicates per control: 4

SOURCE AND PROPERTIES OF SUBSTRATE
- Geographic location: Speyer, LUFA soil
- Maximum water holding capacity (in % dry weigth): 40 %
- Storage (condition): dry and dark

GROWTH CONDITIONS
- Light intensity and quality: about 8000 Lux in high of the plant pots
- Air humidity (%): between 60% and 80%
- Soil humidity (%): oats 80%, oilseed rape 60%, vetch 60% (of max. water capacity)
Nominal and measured concentrations:
test concentrations (nominal):control, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 mg/kg
