Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Handling and storage
Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations. This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in Reach regulation article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management system should be available at each manufacturing site.
Advice on safe handling:
Do not smoke.
Container may be opened only under exhaust ventilation hood.
Open drum carefully as content may be under pressure.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Avoid formation of aerosol.
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
No sparking tools should be used.
Take measures to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge.
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
No smoking.
Keep in a well-ventilated place.
Electrical installations / working materials must comply with the technological safety standards.
Store in closed dark containers made of anti-corrosive material.
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engineering controls consists of effective exhaust ventilation system. The reaction system is maintained at a controlled temperature which limit exposure. Safety helmet, safety glasses, safety shoes and long-legged and -sleeved clothing are always required at the site. In case of accident or incident, more extensive PPE is available; full/half face mask with appropriate filter, air supplying respirator, goggles, chemical resistant gloves and chemical resistant boiler suit, to be used depending on the situation.
During cleaning before maintenance and during maintenance, the standard set of PPE is used. If any other PPE is needed this is described in the working permit or special instruction.
Cleaning activities during production do normally not require any special PPE besides the
standard equipment.
Personal protective equipment as described in the Safety Data Sheet can be found below:
Respiratory protection: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Hand protection: PVC, Rubber gloves
Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles
Skin and body protection: Protective suit
Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
