Description of key information

not explosive according the criteria of the EU method A.14.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The test item was neither shock sensitive nor thermally or friction sensitive. It is not representing an explosive hazard and has not to be considered to present a danger of explosion according to the criteria of the EU-method A.14.

The A.14. test does not cover all test demands of the UN-Guideline 'Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods'. Therefore the evaluation of the explosive properties is still inconclusive on base in respect to the CLP Regulation.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances no final evaluation is possible on the base of the current information, even if the results of the test according the EU method A.14. (and also the absence of functional groups strongly associated with explosive properties) give indications, that there is no need for classification.

The situation is still inconclusive in respect to the final evaluation of the explosive hazards.
