First-aid measures

General information: Involve doctor immediately.

• After inhalation:

If breathing, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration

Supply fresh air and to be sure call for a doctor.

In case of inconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.

• After skin contact:

Remove contaminated clothing.

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

• After eye contact:

Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person Obtain medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents:

CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

• Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Burning liberates carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and smoke.

• Advice for firefighters

Protective equipment:

Wear protective clothing and glasses

Wear self-contained respiratory protective device

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Wear chemical resistant protective gloves when handling spillage.

No smoking. Avoid flames or other potential sources of ignition (e.g. electrical equipment).

Avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of vapour.

Ensure adequate ventilation in working areas following accidental release.

Environmental precautions:

Do not let product enter drains

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal together with material used for cleaning (clothes, etc.)

Wash the area with water and soap.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Prevent formation of aerosols.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable chemical resistant protective gloves and eye/face protection. Do not ingest or apply to the skin as such.

Information about fire - and explosion protection:

No smoking. Avoid flames or other potential sources of ignition (e.g. electrical equipment).

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

• Storage:

• Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:

Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Store in a cool place.

• Information about storage in common storage facility:

Store away from metals.

It will change color and increase viscosity if contacting metals.

• Further information about storage conditions:

Protect from contacting with air, light, heat and moisture.

Avoid container damage while handling and storing

Keep container tightly sealed.

Do not expose to extreme temperature (storage temperature: well below 20 °C).

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment:

• General protective and hygienic measures:

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.

Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

All skin an mucous membranes with potential exposure have to be protected with appropriate PPE.

Respiratory protection:

Respiratory protection is not required. Where respiratory protection is desired, use multi-purpose combination (US) or type ABEK (EN 14387) respiratory cartridges.

In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use self-contained respiratory protective device.

Protection of hands:

Chemical resistant gloves (EN374), Cat 3.

Material of gloves:  Nitrile gloves (0.35mm) Butyl Rubber gloves (0.5mm)

Penetration time of glove material >480 min

Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles

Face protection: Face shield

Body protection: Full protection for head, face and neck

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity No expected reactivity under normal use.

Chemical stability

Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.

Possibility of hazardous reactions:

No dangerous reactions known

Polymerization has not been reported.

Conditions to avoid: avoid contact with incompatible materials

Incompatible materials:

Strong oxidizing agents.

Strong acids

Hazardous decomposition products:

Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions - carbon oxides

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

• Recommendation

Dispose according to local regulations

Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.

Uncleaned packaging:

• Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
