Guideline

OECD - 114

Deviation from the Guideline:

The viscosity measurement was done at 50 °C and 70 °C instead of test temperatures 20 °C and 40 °C mentioned in the guideline. This is due to the fact that the maximum measurement limit of Redwood Viscometer No. 1 is 2000 Seconds only which could not be obtained at lower temperatures.

Method of measurement

Redwood Viscometer No. -1

Principle of method

Measurement of resistance to flow using RedwoodViscometer No. 1

Temperature at which the testing is done

50 °C and 70 °C

Observations

Conclusions:
Kinematic viscosity (experimental) of Styrenated Phenol at 50 0C and 70 0C is 481.403 mm2/sec and 163.26 mm2/s respectively.
Dynamic viscosity (calculated) of Styrenated Phenol at 50 0C and 70 0C is 515.1 mPa.S and 174.6mPa.S, respectively.
