First-aid measures
Skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to skin. Wash
immediately with plenty of soap and water. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop.
Eye contact: Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention immediately
Transfer to hospital for specialist examination.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Obtain medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. Seek
medical attention if symptoms develop.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: Suitable extinguishing media for the surrounding fire should be used.
Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes.
Advice for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact
with skin and eyes.
Accidental release measures
If outside do not approach from
downwind. If outside keep bystanders upwind and away from danger point. Mark out the
contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel. Do not
create dust.
Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate
method.
Handling and storage
Avoid direct contact with the substance. At ambient humidity, this material has a fast
charge relaxation time. Do not handle in a confined space. Ensure there is sufficient
ventilation of the area. Avoid the formation or spread of dust in the air. Take precautions
to avoid build up of static electricity. At both ambient and low humidity, this material is of
appreciable conductivity. Generation and accumulation of electrostatic charge is
considered unlikely to occur when handled in an earthed environment. At the end of the
charge accumulation process charge is expected to be readily lost to earth. This
material has a fast charge relaxation time.
Store in a cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Prevent the build up of
electrostatic charge in the immediate area.
