Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

To assess the acute toxicity of the test item on aquatic invertebrates two experimental studies according to OECD guideline 202 were conducted. In both studies no toxic effects were observed up to the maximum tested concentration of 100 mg/l.

Additional information

In the GLP study according to OECD guideline 202 the acute immobilization of daphnia magna of the test substance was assessed. The test organisms were incubated with a limit concentration of 100 mg/l of the test item for 48 h. The concentrations were analytical confirmed. After 48 h no toxic effects could be observed. Therefore, the EC 50 for the test item is greater than 100 mg/l (Currenta, 2009).

These results were confirmed by a second GLP study according to the OECD guideline 202. Daphnia magna was exposed to nominal concentrations of 0, 12.5 and 100 mg/l of the test item for 48 h. No toxic effect could be observed within this study (BASF, 2002).
