Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: If signs/symptoms develop, remove person to fresh air. If
signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Get immediate medical attention. Immediately flush eyes with
large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. If signs/symptoms
develop, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.
Give victim two glasses of water. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Non-combustible. Choose material suitable for surrounding
fire.
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide. Hydrogen fluoride. Toxic
Vapor, Gas, Particulate.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-
contained, positive pressure or pressure demand breathing
apparatus, bunker couat and pants, bands around arms, waist
and legs, face mask, and protective covering for exposed
areas of the head.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate unprotected and untrained personnel from hazard
area. The spill should be cleaned up by qualified personnel.
Ventilate the area with fresh air. Collect as much of the
spilled material as possible. Clean up residue with an
appropriate solvent selected by a qualified and authorized
person. Ventilate the area with fresh air. Read and follow
safety precautions on the solvent label and MSDS. Collect
the resulting residue containing solution. Place in a closed
container approved for transportation by appropriate
authorities. Dispose of collected material as soon as
possible.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use good industrial hygiene practices when handling the
substances.
Avoid eye contact.
The following should be worn alone or in combination, as
appropriate, to prevent eye contact : Indirect Vented
Goggles.
Avoid skin contact.
The following glove material(s) are recommended : butyl
rubber, polyethylene/ethylene vinyl alcohol.
Provide appropriate local exhaust when product is heated.
Use general dilution ventilation and/or local exhaust
ventilation to control airborne exposures to below the
Occupational Exposure Limits. If ventilation is not
adequate, use respiratory protection equipment.
Use a positive pressure supplied-air respirator if there is
a potential for exposure from an uncontrolled release,
exposure levels are not known, or under any other
circumstances where air-purifying respirators may not
provide adequate protection.
Select one of the following approved respirators based on
airborne concentration of contaminants and in accordance
with regulations : Half facepiece or fullface air-purifying
respirator with organic vapor cartridges and N95 particulate
prefilters.
During heating : Do not breathe vapors.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash
exposed areas thoroughly with soap and water.
Storage: Store away from areas where product may come into contact
with food or pharmaceuticals. Store away from heat.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: *** As imported ***
55 gallon polyethylene-insert open head drum.
*** As sold ***
12.5 kg polyethylene (HDPE) bags as such or additionally
packed in cardboard boxes (2 x 12.5 kg) or in returnable
HDPE pallet boxes (48 x 12.5 kg).
