Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move patient away from contaminated area and to fresh air.
Make the affected person rest.
Keep airways clear.
Summon medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water for a prolonged period with
eyelids held open.
Consult an eye specialist.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.
Wash immediately with water for a prolonged period. If the
skin become inflamed, consult a doctor.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth out with water.Risk of aspiration should
vomititing occur.Keep airways clear.
Summon medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide or halons.
DO NOT USE WATER
Product arising from burning: Combustion or pyrolysis releases oxides of carbon (carbon
monoxide and carbone dioxide).
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Gloves and goggles.Breathing apparatus if extinguishing fire
in confined spaces.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions:
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Do not smoke.
Do not breathe vapours.
Only qualified and trained personnel with suitable
protective equipment may intervene.
Enviroment precautions:
Stop the leak.
Do not discharge into rivers or drains.
Recovery:
Collect the substance and place in a suitably labelled
container.Retain the recovered substance for subsequent
regeneration or disposal.
Neutralisation:
Absorb residues with inert absorbent material.
Cleaning:
Wash floors and surfaces with a mixture of water and
detergent.
Recover the cleaning water for subsequent disposal.
Disposal:
Incinerate at a licended installation.
Handling and storage
Handling: Technical measures:
Use of flame proof lighting and electrical equipment.
Controls to avoid build-up of electrostatic charge.
Use of suitable ventilation system.
Engineering controls to confine use systems as much as
possible.
Personal measures:
Avoid direct contact with substance.
When using, prohibit eating, drinking and smoking.
Storage: Packaing material:
Polyethylene lined steel drum.
Recommended storage conditions:
Store at room temperature.Do not store below 10 degC or
above 30 degC for extended periods.
Close containers tightly.
Keep away from sources of ignition.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feedstuffs.
Incompatible products:
Oxidising agents,strong acids and bases.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 6HA1 type polyethylene (PE) lined steel drums of 217 litres
nominal volume.Filling and aeration openings to the drums
closed with polyethylene caps equipped with gasket rings of
special rubber.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance is totally used during the course of chemical
reaction.As a result recovery/recycling is not applicable.
Should accidental spillage occur the substance should be
collect for regeneration or disposal.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Should accidental spillage occur chemical neutralisation is
not feasible. Substance can be absorbed with inert absorbent
material for containment and disposal.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: NOT RECOMMENDED
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerator approved for use for the disposal of industrial
waste.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Do not discharge into drains, rivers or sewage systems.
