Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
2. Hand protection: Wear protective gloves. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Neoprene or nitrile gloves.
3. Body protection: Wear protective work clothing: safety shoes, apron. Check that a security shower is available near the handling zone.
4. Eye protection: Wear safety goggles. Check that an emergency eyewash facility is available near the handling zone.
5. Respiratory protection: Suitable respiratory protective device recommended: A respiratory filter.

The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 18 (4) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates. The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4). Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to be avoided: Water, moisture (decomposes).
Possibility of hazardous reactions Contact with water releases toxic gases.
Incompatible materials: Water, Acids, Bases, Oxidizing agents, Reducing agents, Amines.
Hazardous decomposition products: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire : CO, HCl.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods Recommendation: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations. Incineration according to regulation in force Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil
