First-aid measures

Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes. Get medical aid immediately. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers.

Skin Contact: Get medical aid immediately. Flush skin with soap and water for at least fifteen minutes. Discard contaminated clothing.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air, get medical help immediately if breathing is difficult.

Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Get immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media:
Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol-resistant chemical foam or water spray recommended.

Special Firefighting Procedures:
Dry material is dangerously explosive.
Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear recommended.

Unusual Fire and Explosions Hazards:
Explodes when heated.
Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.
May be shock-sensitive.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:
Evacuate Area.
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.

Methods for Cleaning Up:
Do not attempt to sweep up dried material. Dampen with water before sweeping. Use non-sparking tools.
Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container for disposal. Ventilate area and wash off with plenty of water.

Environmental Precautions:
Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Handling and storage

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, wear personal protective equipment. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

Invert stored container periodically to distribute moisture in container.
Store in a deluge type sprinkler area. Do not allow to freeze. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls: Ensure adequate ventilation, local exhaust at the work station if necessary.

Respiratory protection: If workplace exposure limits are exceeded, a respiration protection approved for this particular job must be worn. In case of dust formation, take appropriate measures for breathing protection in the event workplace threshold values are not specified.

Eye / face protection: Safety glasses (EN 166); Face shield

Hand protection: Sufficient protection is given wearing suitable protective gloves checked according to i.e. EN 374, in the event of risk of skin contact with the product . Before use, the protective gloves should be tested in any case for its specific work station suitability (i.e. mechanical resistance, product compatibility and antistatic properties). Adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions and information relating to the use, storage, care and replacement of protective gloves. Protective gloves shall be replaced immediately when physically damaged or worn. Design operations thus to avoid permanent use of protective gloves.

Other: Normal chemical work clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Hazardous Decomposition Products:
Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen oxides.

Heavy metals, heavy metal salts, oxidizing agents, reducing agents, and acids.

Hazardous Polymerization:
Has not been reported.

Disposal considerations

Waste from Residue/Unused Products:
Dispose of as special waste in compliance with local and national regulations.

Contaminated Packaging:
Triple rinse containers. Dispose of as special waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
